A constru\u00e7\u00e3o da nossa Rep\u00fablica, j\u00e1 em seu advento em 1889, buscou, ainda que tardiamente, inserir o pa\u00eds no mundo capitalista. Mas aquelas primeiras leis eram t\u00e3o fr\u00e1geis e tendenciosas quanto as ideias das classes dominantes sobre o fim da escravid\u00e3o. Mesmo ap\u00f3s a aboli\u00e7\u00e3o, em 13 de maio de 1888, as rela\u00e7\u00f5es patr\u00e3o\/empregado mantiveram o car\u00e1ter autorit\u00e1rio, desumano e injusto que vigorou em quase 400 anos de escravid\u00e3o.<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 10px; color: #222222; font-family: 'Roboto Condensed', sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Ap\u00f3s a Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o de 30 foi implementado um projeto desenvolvimentista que exigia tanto uma m\u00e3o de obra mais qualificada, quanto um crescente mercado consumidor. E a cria\u00e7\u00e3o, em novembro de 1930, do Minist\u00e9rio do Trabalho, chamado de nada menos que \u201cMinist\u00e9rio da Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, foi fundamental para criar a estrutura de prote\u00e7\u00e3o ao trabalhador para o Brasil industrializado que Vargas vislumbrava.<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 10px; color: #222222; font-family: 'Roboto Condensed', sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Demandas sindicais, como jornada de trabalho de 8 horas, sal\u00e1rio-m\u00ednimo, voto feminino, regulamenta\u00e7\u00e3o da sindicaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, licen\u00e7a-maternidade, entre outras, reivindicadas em greves, como as de 1917 e 1919, e por meio de organiza\u00e7\u00f5es, como a Confedera\u00e7\u00e3o Oper\u00e1ria Brasileira (1906 a 1920), encontraram lugar no projeto do governo.
